Giving you keys to a happy family

My name is Zoë Mount, and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, specializing in working with adolescents and their families.
Adolescents bring an extraordinary amount of energy into therapy. Happy, sad, proud or despondent, they put their whole heart into whatever they are feeling as they struggle with preparing for, accepting, and finally, achieving adulthood. I enjoy this energy and the interactions I have with teens and their parents very much. For this reason I am dedicating my practice primarily to adolescents and their families. Working from both a systems and a cognitive behavioral perspective, I help these young people and their families navigate this rocky time in their lives.
I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and graduated from Santa Clara University with a master's degree in marriage and family therapy. I received some of my hours for licensure working in an elementary school in East San Jose, but gained the majority of my hours at a residential center for severely emotionally disturbed adolescents. At both settings, I worked primarily with the children, but brought in their families as much as possible.
